Happy Friday, everyone!

This was yet another busy week for the U.S. stock market as it recently saw a wave of selloffs due to AI. Amid that chaos, South Korean chipmaker SK Hynix is planning to make its Nasdaq debut.

This week’s FA Alpha Weekly Digest will cover those topics and more. So without further ado, let’s get into it…

In case you missed them, here’s a rundown of this week’s FA Alpha Dailies: 👇

➡️ 2026 is a historic year as investors are getting access to some of the world’s most valuable and hyped companies. Unfortunately, this “ IPO mania” brings with it a hidden downside.

➡️ AI’s gargantuan demand for storage and memory modules have led to shortages and massive price hikes. PC manufacturer HP has managed to weather that storm, yet investors remain pessimistic.

➡️ Financial advisors have to continuously rethink their processes to better serve their clients. These case studies revealed why.

➡️ Turning prospects into clients isn’t easy. But that process can be made much easier with this strategy.

Here are other pieces of news that impacted the stock market in the past week:

  • SK Hynix, the world’s third-biggest memory chipmaker, announced that it plans to list on the Nasdaq as soon as July.

  • On a related note, the Nasdaq and S&P 500 saw respective declines of 2% and nearly 1.5% as AI-related concerns sparked a wave of selloffs.

… and in case you don’t know yet, there’s also a retirement tax break that’s flying under the radar. The Wall Street Journal breaks down how it works.

That’s all for today’s “Weekly Digest”. See you again next time!
