Happy Friday!

While the workweek is about to draw to a close, that doesn’t mean this week was uneventful. 2026 is shaping up to be a banner year for IPOs as SpaceX is set to go public. Not to be outdone, AI heavyweight Anthropic quietly submitted its IPO paperwork.

Without further ado, let’s get into today’s FA Alpha Weekly Digest…

In case you missed out, here’s a round-up of this week’s FA Alpha Dailies:

Here are other pieces of news that impacted the world of finance and investing in the past week:

  • SpaceX is targeting an ambitious fixed price of $135 per share and a valuation of roughly $1.77 trillion for its much-anticipated IPO.

  • While SpaceX and Elon Musk were soaking up much of the headlines, Anthropic quietly filed its IPO.

  • Unfortunately for both IPO hopefuls, S&P Global, the firm behind the S&P 500 index, just announced that it won’t be changing its rules for new entrants, dashing hopes for swift entry into the index.
