Happy Friday!

The Fed recently hiked rates for the first time in three years. Fed Chair Kevin Warsh said “inflation is too high and has been for too long” when he talked about the decision.

Meanwhile, a study found that those who have student debt tend to participate less in 401(k) plans and contribute at lower rates.

We will cover those topics and more in today’s edition of Weekly Digest…

In case you missed out, here are the articles we published over the past few days: 👇

➡️ The strongest business models aren’t necessarily the flashiest ones out there. That’s why this decades-old retail strategy continues to be the engine behind some of the industry’s most successful businesses.

➡️ AI adoption is gaining ground in government work, positioning this technology provider to benefit. However, investors seem to be ignoring this company’s exposure to AI-driven technological modernization.

➡️ Netflix continues to be the undisputed leader in the streaming industry. Here’s how it positioned itself for long-term success.

➡️ Financial advisors need to make it easy for interested prospects to take the next step and become clients. Here’s how advisors can do that effectively.

Meanwhile, here are other pieces of news and information you might find interesting:

  • The U.S. has gone without rate hikes for the past three years. That changed earlier this week when the Fed finally hiked rates, citing persistent inflation as a reason for doing so.
  • Research published by the Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI) revealed that those who carry student debt obligations tend to participate less
  • in 401(k) plans, contribute at lower rates, and accumulate smaller account balances compared to debt-free counterparts.

That’s all for today’s Weekly Digest. See you next week!
