Happy Friday!
Last month, the Federal Reserve did something it hadn’t done in three years—raise interest rates. Many expected the central bank to raise rates yet again, but it decided to subvert expectations this time.
Meanwhile, it’s been discovered that some retirees forget to touch their 401(k)s after retiring. Not spending that money may seem like a good idea, but there are costs to doing so.
We’re covering both of those topics in today’s Weekly Digest… and in case you missed them, here is a quick recap of what we published over the past few days: 👇
➡️ AI-driven sell-offs are making bonds attractive again. Here’s why.
➡️ This cybersecurity firm helps customers patch vulnerabilities before hackers take advantage. Yet despite its mission-critical offerings, investors are pricing it in as if AI will gut its business.
➡️ In competitive markets, quality products aren’t the end-all and be-all of customer loyalty. Brand recognition matters too. The story behind this brand explains why.
➡️ Working too hard without breaks doesn’t always lead to better results. Here’s how advisors can remain effective without pushing themselves past their limits.
Here are other pieces of news and information you might find useful:
After raising rates last month, the Fed decided to hold rates steady between 3.75% to 4% during the most recent Federal Open Market Committee meeting.
It was found that most Americans do nothing with their 401(k)s after retirement. While this may seem good on paper, there are financial consequences for doing so.
That’s all for today’s Weekly Digest. See you next week!
